What I See I Am
“THY KINGDOM COME, THY WILL BE DONE, ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN.”
This is a statement by the person praying, it is not a question or a suggestion. It is a very strong statement to God as to what is expected by the person praying.
“THY KINGDOM COME...”
THY = GOD's
KINGDOM = God's KINGDOM can only be of God. We have discussed the nature of God as ABSOLUTE LOVE and RIGHTEOUS. We have discussed that God could not create that which God is not, therefore GOD's KINGDOM is what GOD is.
COME -
“THY WILL”
We are stating that we relinquish to God the responsibility of decision in our lives. We know that God's WILL is Absolute Love and Righteous.
“BE DONE”
Many prayers fall into the category of requests for something to happen in our lives or the lives of others. BE DONE is not a suggestion, this is a command. This is not of the same character that most prayers take. Here we see THE PRAYER suggesting a whole different relationship of us to God. It is suggested that we be HUMBLE to GOD, but THE PRAYER indicates that we have the right to command something BE DONE. In fact THE PRAYER indicates we have control over what happens in our lives with a direct connection to GOD THE SOURCE OF ALL, and have a right to command that source.
“ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN”
Many put a comma after “Thy will be done”. Jesus did not. The whole statement is the key to this portion of the Prayer. This statement shows that God does not have a will for us, we are the determination of the “will”.
That is declared by this “on earth as it is in Heaven.”
EARTH is the physical manifestation. EARTH includes all of the physical properties of our world. HEAVEN is the spiritual. Something has to be spiritual before it can manifest to be physical. Jesus stated HEAVEN is within you , the KINGDOM OF GOD is within. Thought precedes Action. ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN, is a statement of recognition of LAW which is already in place. What is in heaven (spiritual) is on earth (physical).
ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN -
ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN is the key to our lives. This statement in the PRAYER assures God we understand, what we think about happens. This is were our responsibility lies. We could hand every thing over to God by eliminating ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN, but this is not what God wants. We are each individuals. We are only and I say only but absolutely responsible for our thoughts. WE ARE ONLY AND ABSOLUTELY RESPONSIBLE FOR OUR THOUGHTS.
As we pray ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN we are stating we recognize and accept we are therefore only and absolutely responsible for our world (EARTH). That which we think about (thought = spiritual, HEAVEN) is manifested into actions (physical = world, EARTH). When we pray "God I need..." We create "need".
When we pray "God I am..." We create the "am".
A very powerful prayer.
